ergodic

Ergodic refers to a mathematical or logical system that within a finite sequence of steps or permutations will frequently revert back to a state resembling its original condition; i.e.,
"the more things change, the more they stay the same."

One can easily assert that fantasy role playing games have come full cycle.

Now that the Old School Renaissance has laid a strong foundation upon the internet and print media, many veteran gamers have returned to the hobby and are introducing their friends and family to the hobbyist version of RPGs or pen and paper RPGs.
